Strengthening regulation frameworks to improve education systems

Regulation is a crucial tool for governments to steward their entire national education system. GSF’s work involves collaborative research, like the UNESCO-GSF project, which analyses regulatory systems in diverse low- and middle-income countries. We also explore the experiences of non-state education providers to understand the practical impact of these regulations. GSF advocates for improved global guidance, empowering governments to effectively regulate and partner with the non-state sector, ultimately ensuring quality education for every child.

This is an important study and we in Lagos State plan to study the recommendations and develop appropriate strategies to engage with our large number of non-state education providers. I hope other states similarly circumstanced will reflect on their own situation and also develop strategies to ensure that we all fulfill our obligations to all the children in our care.
