Join us for the first session in our learning series on understanding and supporting children with learning differences. Session 1 lays the groundwork for the sessions that follow, starting with a shared understanding of what inclusion means and where each participant’s own organisation currently sits.
The objective of this session is to help participants:
- Examine models of inclusion (exclusion, segregation, integration, full inclusion) and place their own organisation on the spectrum.
- Identify barriers to inclusion (attitudinal, structural, systemic) within their own contexts.
- Challenge deficit-model thinking and reframe learning differences through a strengths-based lens.
This session is for anyone who works, directly or indirectly, with children who have learning differences and wants an honest, practical starting point for inclusive practice, including educators, programme staff and leadership.
