Second roundtable on smart subsidies

Global Schools Forum (GSF) and Open Capital Advisors (OCA), warmly invite you to the Second roundtable for our smart subsidies in childcare series, taking place virtually, on Thursday, 6 August 2026.

This session builds on our first roundtable, where many of you helped shape the early thinking on smart subsidies for childcare. Your insights informed a subsequent design workshop in Nairobi, where around 30 childcare providers, funders and ecosystem partners translated these discussions into initial smart subsidy models.

We are now excited to reconvene with all of you to:

1.      Share the emerging smart subsidy models developed through the Nairobi design workshop.

2.     Co-design the next iteration of the models by drawing on your experience and expertise

3.     Identify opportunities for collaboration and shared learning to advance this work.

The session will be highly interactive, with participants contributing their experience and expertise through facilitated virtual working sessions. Short presentations will be used to share back what emerged from Nairobi and frame the key design questions for discussion.
