Learning series on learning differences: Recognising learning differences
Join us for the second session in our learning series on understanding and supporting children with learning differences. Session 2 builds on the groundwork laid in Session 1, moving from a shared understanding of inclusion into the practical work of recognising learning differences in the classroom.
The objective of this session is to help participants:
- Recognise the common classroom indicators that a learner may have a learning difference.
- Understand at a working level what specific learning differences look like, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and other co-occurring profiles.
- Understand executive functioning and why it matters for learning.
- Apply neurodiversity and strengths-based framing, and dispel common myths around learning differences.
This session is for anyone who works, directly or indirectly, with children who have learning differences and wants to build a sharper, more practical eye for identifying when a learner may need closer support, including educators, programme staff and leadership.
