Participants will leave with an understanding of what to consider when creating a strong career ladder, specific examples of career opportunities that will retain high-performing staff members, examples of strong implementation of career ladders.
Participants will leave with an understanding of the correlation between hiring and selection processes and retention, the most important (and least important) competencies to consider when selecting staff, and examples of strong hiring and selection processes.
Participants will leave with an understanding of information-gathering practices that organizations employ and tactics to reward and recognize your staff.
Spotlight participants will have access to relevant and current content that is transferable to their specific context, participate in activities to foster collegiality and leave with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the work that their South African colleagues do every day.
Cost to attend Spotlight on: Talent - £110 per person
This fee contributes to cover the conference costs. It includes transport costs during the conference. Please note it does not include airport transfers to and from the meeting.
Accommodation costs are additional at £45.00 per night
(you can select as many nights as you would like from the next screen).
Venue and travel info
GSF Spotlight on Talent is taking place at the African Leadership Academy
with accommodation provided at the nearby Amokoekoe Guest Lodge
. There are limited rooms available at Amokoekoe so please do register promptly.
For participants staying at Amokoekoe, travel will be provided to and from the African Leadership Academy at the start and end of the scheduled activities each day. Travel will be provided for all participants to and from the school visit.
Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from the convening. Airport transfers can be arranged via Amokoekoe by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
. Approx cost is £25-30.
We have introduced a small fee for attending GSF events. This fee helps GSF to cover venue and catering costs so that we can expand our offer of quality events to you.
If you require additional accommodation before or after the conference, we are unable to provide this for you. Please contact the hotel directly in order to arrange any additional nights, email@example.com
If you are unable to make the convening for whatever reason, please do let us know as soon as possible. Participants cancelling within two weeks of the event will be charged for all costs already incurred, including accommodation as per the hotel's cancellation policy.
