Webinar: GSF Fellowship Programme

Running a school or network of schools requires a huge range of skills, knowledge and experience. Some aspects of our work benefit from the expertise of others. In this webinar, our partners, Frontier Market Scouts, shared details about their fellowship programme, explaining how GSF members can benefit from a business professional with 3-5 years of experience.

About the Webinar

Frontier Market Scouts, our award-winning partners, led this webinar, providing information about the fellowship programme, including the typical skill set and experience their fellows bring, and details on the application process and what a typical fellowship might look like.

Fellows are available to do discrete pieces of work for our members for between 2 and 12 months. This could be due diligence to expand a school network to a new region, help with financial planning, develop a monitoring and evaluation plan or a business strategy to name a few.

About the Speaker

Tyler Higginson: In his job as Partner Engagement Associate for Frontier Market Scouts (FMS), Tyler is part of a team developing networks to bring talent to existing non-profits and social enterprises. Through the Fellowship Programme run by Frontier Market Scouts, fellows are matched with opportunities that help scale projects while benefitting from a meaningful, career-defining experience.

About the Global Schools Forum Webinar Series

The Global Schools Forum produces monthly webinars where people from across the education sector share their knowledge and lessons learnt with our members.

Through our webinars, we take a closer look at scaling up a school network, including organisational design, school management and centralisation vs decentralization. We visit the people that are the heart of operations learning how to recruit, develop and retain teachers, school leaders and other staff in order to run quality schools. We also look at the issues of data and measurement exploring how to strengthen what happens inside classrooms through pedagogy, use of technology and differentiation.
